Started out as just a simple sketch of an asian woman for practice. I decided to add the horns and break out the watercolors, ink, and acrylic paints (a first for me). I really liked how the acrylic paint is so vibrant. I'll continue to experiment with em This was also an experiment in color theory, using cool colors such as green, blue, and brown. I think you have a pretty good handle on space, colors and light. All you really need to practice is details. It's what Im starting to do, like, getting more into the shapes and creases and things like that.

I second the above comment about practicing detail as well (its the little things that make a face look lifelike--little wrinkles around the mouth or eyes, the slight difference in shadow that gives shape to the nose or cheekbones, etc)
