I wish I could just draw without thinking so damn hard about it. It's really what stops me from starting or even continuing a new piece. I get too worked up about how BAD it's looking that I just quit. Sometimes I'll come back to it, but only after a couple weeks have passed. I return to just doing silly sketches that don't result in anything polished.

Ugh.

Then I look at other people's fabulous art and get jealous/frustrated because "OMG WHY CAN'T I MAKE IT LOOK THAT EASY??"

Don't be too hard on yourself, you're always making a lot of progress and your artwork looks wonderful :hug: Maybe you should go back to making silly sketches and just letting your mind wander and doodling a bit for a while before you try to make any serious artwork? It sometimes helps with me when I get frustrated.

Maybe you should try to step away from that and play with your artwork again instead of HAVING TO make something great from yourself. The best things often just happen :hug:

You always have good advice :hug: I think I'll just that and play around with paints and charcoal without trying to make something "great" I noticed I don't have so many experimental drawings in the gallery as I used to.

It's sooooo addicting because there are drawing games. Someone will say a topic and everyone has 5 minutes to draw it. It really gets your imagination going, and you draw without inhibition :)
